This is a bit awkward.

It’s been a little while.

Let me tell you the story of a little simple dip that I first encountered at Atlas restaurant. It’s taken me so long to post this that the restaurant has since closed, which is too bad because it was delicious. Best couscous I’ve ever eaten.

Snack Attack: Spam And Pineapple Skewers

If you were to ask someone whether they like spam, chances are they’d say no.  They’d probably make a face too.  I’ll admit, I was one of those people.  I mean, it’s a slimy block of meat coming out of a can.  

But when you think about it, it’s not so different from a hot dog except for the packaging and it actually tastes pretty similar to a hot dog too.  Just don’t look at the sodium content… 

My Favourite Mushrooms

Sometimes the recipes that I post on this blog come to me in a flash of inspiration.  Roasted strawberries and coconut, yes!  Sometimes, they are developed from necessity, like needing to get rid of overripe bananas.  But sometimes, there’s something that I make so often, that I decide it’s cheating if I don’t share.

Brie, Prosciutto, and Cherry Sandwiches

We had sandwiches for dinner.  Funny how a sandwich for lunch seems awesome, but having a sandwich for dinner sounds like we’re not trying.  What did the poor sandwich do to deserve this double standard? 

If I called it a crostini, then we would be impressed.
