Mix And Match Pesto

I always have leftover greens.  I buy a bunch of parsley, use a few stems and then watch the rest go bad.  I buy a box of arugula, because of course it only comes in giant boxes, use some in a salad, and then the rest just sits there forgotten in the fridge.

Herby Almond Pesto Pasta

Things are a bit of a whirlwind lately.  Got back from Boston with just enough time to do laundry and pack again it seems.  I’m not complaining.  This trip to Strasbourg is last minute and exciting.  But making dinner after a full day of traveling when there’s no groceries in the house can be daunting.  Especially when you only have a couple of days at home.  Don’t want to stock up too much fresh food.  But don’t want to eat out after a whole weekend of eating away from home.

Green (Herb) Butter

One thing I don’t like about St. Patrick’s day cooking/baking, is throwing green food colouring into something (anything) and calling it Irish.  Especially when nature provides us with so many naturally green things to work with.

Here’s something you may not have thought of: green butter.  Not green because it spent way too long in the back of the fridge, but because of the giant load of chives and parsley that we stuffed into it.
