My Week in Meals

This week has been crazy!  I’ve been at work more than I’ve been at home, and I haven’t stepped foot in the kitchen in days.

Last weekend was a long weekend, and knowing that I was about to embark on this week of craziness I relaxed to the max.  I made the best coconut soup ever and discovered that galangal juice stings if it gets you in the eye.  I shared some blackberry and white chocolate pavlova with you.

I worked on a new recipe (coming soon!) that is vegan and gluten-free.

I had some amazing noodles at Momofuku.

It was a good weekend.  So what do you do when you know that you won’t have time to make dinner all week?  You get the hubby to pitch in of course! Here’s what he fed me:

Tuesday: Pad kra prao

Wednesday: Spaghetti with beef and mushroom ragout

Thursday: Sloppy joes

Thursday we also celebrated a little with some Tempest Imperial Stout because I got my first pictures accepted to TasteSpotting (so stoked!).

And it was all amazing!  Hubby doesn’t get into the kitchen much because I’m a huge kitchen hog so I’m really not sure at which point he learned how to cook so well.  But I sure am a lucky gal.  (On another note I hate the word “hubby”, but “my husband” sounds too formal and if I said Alex you’d be like “who’s Alex?”  So hubby it is.  I make these sacrifices for you.)

Thankfully, all this work craziness is over for now and I am super excited to get back into the kitchen this weekend... after some well deserved Friday night drinks, a little bit of sleeping in, and some chocolate milk.
